Recently, the "Intelligent Equipment Design and Manufacturing Service Platform" of Zhejiang University Zhoushan Ocean Research Center was officially launched. This is also the first public service platform for intelligent equipment design and manufacturing in Zhoushan City.

The workshop of more than 700 square meters has been renovated. The platform currently has 11 experienced designers, all with master's degrees or above, including 1 professor and 2 senior engineers, with strong engineering implementation capabilities. The platform integrates intelligent equipment design, processing, assembly, performance testing, and maintenance services, focusing on providing intelligent manufacturing equipment in the fields of ships and ship fittings, marine fisheries, marine electronic information, green petrochemicals, modern aviation, and deep-sea electromechanical equipment. For services such as R&D, design, manufacturing and testing, five companies have currently sent demand orders.
The launch of the intelligent equipment design and manufacturing service platform will play a good role in promoting enterprises to overcome new product development problems such as intelligent high-strength fasteners and complete sets of equipment. At the end of last year, they launched a comprehensive strategic cooperation with the Zhoushan Ocean Research Center of Zhejiang University. The two parties cooperated to promote key technology research and product development of high-strength fasteners and intelligent fasteners in wind power, petrochemical and other fields.
The platform will also actively support the construction of cutting-edge marine disciplines and provide personalized customized services for equipment and systems for scientific research institutions. Due to the relatively weak foundation of Zhoushan's local manufacturing industry, some scientific research institutions could only place the initial processing and production of newly developed products in other places.
